Cincinnati!!

On Friday we took the kids to Cincinnati for a weekend homeschooling trip. We started off with a surprise.
An indoor waterpark!

The kids had a blast there and then had a lot of fun pretending to sleep on their fold out bed in our suite!
The next morning they were up early and ready to check out the
Creation Museum.

We walked through history from a Biblical perspective.
It was truly amazing.

I think everyone loved the Noah's ark portion of the museum the best (in the history part). There was a a wax figure of Noah that you could "ask" questions (using a computer) and he would vocally answer. There were miniatures of what the inside of the ark might have looked like as well as models of the ark. There was even a huge exhibit of what the construction of the ark might have been like.
Soon the museum is planning to actually build a model of the ark to scale! They have the land to do it and they are raising money right now. I can't wait to see that!

Outside the museum were gardens and a petting zoo. The petting zoo was Naomi's favorite part.

In the afternoon, we attended a special "Snakes Alive" show.
We all got to touch and hold snakes.
Now the whole family wants a corn snake as a pet. I'm definitely ok with that, but we'll just have to see.
The guy who did the show had bred albino corn snakes and had some crazy colors of snakes--bright orange, light pink, purple...

'
And of course we got a family pic with the python!

That evening we took a drive around downtown Cincinnati.
And saw some gorgeous architecture.

And someone took a nap. : )

After dinner, we had frozen yogurt with plenty of candy.
Everyone slept much better on night #2 in our suite and we headed home today.
It was a great trip!
