Today's Tea Party

Today we had a few friends over for a play date. The girls all dressed up for a tea party with Jacob acting as the waiter. And yes, there was another boy there--lest you pity Jacob for being surrounded by the girls.
Bjorn was too busy playing with cars to care much about tea. Kate and Janey Tolson are in the pink and green dresses respectively, Naomi is wearing the blue, and Ari Payne is dressed as Snow White. Aren't they lovely!

Naomi's Creative Photography

Naomi stole the camera the other day and took it around taking pictures of just about everything--including the neighbor's cars, the bushes, a stick beside a bowl and a lot of other subjects. She is really quite good with the camera (though she did get in trouble for not asking first!) These are a few of her creative photos.

Bethany and a Friend

Last night at small group, Bethany and Meghan Siira got to know each other a little better. Meghan is about six months old and very sweet. It may look like Bethany is about to be fussy, but she is really enjoying her social time!

Crickets and Conversation

Here are some pictures our friend Audra took while we were at LMPC's vacation Bible school last week. It was a big family event. The kids' favorite part was all the treats--snow cones, ice cream cones, dirt dessert...

Cute Socks

One of Nate's co-workers gave Bethany a cute pair of "sock shoes." The tops have rhinestone crowns and the bottoms have the words "Teeny Queenie." So cute!

Dance Party

One of our family's favorite things to do is have a dance party. Last night's dance party included a photo shoot. : )

I Love Grandma

Bethany loves her grandma (and her grandpa and her grandad and her granna!)

Creative Discovery Museum

Today we went to the Creative Discovery Museum (in dowtown Chattanooga). The kids love to play there and this is the first time they've seen the Clifford Exhibit. Everyone--even Bethany--had a great time.

Naomi and Jacob Play Catch

Naomi and Jacob love playing catch with Daddy. We find it very funny that with no training at all, Jacob throws "like a boy" and Naomi throws "like a girl". We made the mistake of telling Naomi she throws "like a girl." Now she won't throw any differently no matter how much Daddy tries to train her because, as she said, "I am a girl!"

Aaron's Visit

Last Friday Uncle Aaron, Aunt Fish and Baby Jorja came to visit. We enjoyed showing off our newest member and playing with our happy cousin & niece.

Two Little Princesses

Look at our two
beautiful princesses!

OH MY!

Bethany often has her hands up by her face. In this picture, she looks like she's saying, "OH MY!"

Happy Father's Day!

We Love Our Daddy!

The Bouncing Ball

One day a ball rolled down our driveway and down the hill and down another hill. Daddy had Bethany, I had myself, and Momma wasn't holding anything. Momma went after the ball. It rolled into some briers (bwiers). Momma easily (easwy) broke (bwoke) the briers (bwiers). And then she carefully got the ball.
Original story as told to me by Jacob on Sunday

Dixie's New Look

The sixth member of our family of five got a new look last week. She loves it! She's cleaner and cooler; it's definitely worth looking a little funny for a while!

Play Date

Naomi and Jacob had their good friends Ella and Anna over to play today. They just became a family of five as well--adding a little sister Chloe, who is now 13 weeks. We all had a great time!

Camp Come On In

Naomi enjoyed "Camp Come On In" Monday and Tuesday of this week. Hallie Blair Quatro, a neighbor up the street, and a friend of hers put this camp on for a few girls. They painted faces, got camp t-shirts, played on a slip and slide and generally had a wonderful time. At first Naomi was a little disappointed when she learned that she wouldn't actually be camping over night in a tent, but she was easily appeased with all the entertainment that was offered. She wept when I told her that it only lasted two days! Thanks to Hallie Blair and Rebecca for such a great time!

Bethany's First Doctor's Visit

Bethany weighed in this morning at 8 lbs 1 oz. after being 7 lbs 12 ozs at birth. Yeah for a good eater! Dr. Carter said she looks great and was very impressed by the fact that she was awake and very active during her check-up.
