Glen Falls Hike

Friday we took a hike and picnic down to Glen Falls as a family. Can you tell that the kids love to hike?
(sorry about the picture quality. I forgot the big camera and had to settle for the iPhone camera.)

Look carefully in the background of this pic!

Sunday Morning Handsome

Popsicles and Woodchips

Funnies from the Bethany Girl

The other morning Bethany awoke in one of those highly verbal, very funny moods. The first words out of her mouth when she came into the family room were,
"Oh. My. Word! This hair is in my face!"
When I asked if she wanted breakfast, she said,
"No, I don't want breakfast. Okay, I was only teasing I do want breakfast."
When I type it out, it doesn't seem all that funny, but when you add her cute little voice and her  funny way of talking as if she were all grown up, it is quite hilarious.
As we walked into breakfast she began shouting to Naomi,
"I AM SO BOSSY!"
and later
"I AM SO MEAN TO YOU!"
Here she's being comforted by her sympathetic big sister because she has to wear that shawl to church.
On the way down the mountain the other night, Bethany was holding her stuffed cat. She said,
"My cat is so happy that we're going somewhere!"
She is constantly saying something that cracks Nate and me up.
Today when I said, "Oh, look there's a bird on the bird feeder," she looked up at me thoughtfully and said, "'Member when we saw that movie in the theater?" 'Feeder' and 'theater' sound just alike to her, and when I said them carefully to her to show her the difference, I couldn't really hear much of a difference either!

Walk for Life

Please join Naomi, Jacob, and Bethany as they walk for the unborn and their mommas!
The Choices at the Walk for Life is on April 30th at 9:30am.
The kids and I will be looking for sponsors and walking.
Choices relies on these kinds of fund raisers for its yearly expenses, and it's great to get out and walk with such a mighty purpose--the life of precious unborn babies.
If you're interested in walk, let me know!
And if you can't walk but are interested in supporting Choices by sponsoring my (really adorable) children as they walk 2 miles for the unborn and their mommas, let me know!
Look for more info at choicesprcnow.org

Nate and Olivia Go On A Cruise

Our cruise ship, the Carnival Fascination, at port in Freeport, Bahamas.
The view from our deck off our room at the back of the ship.
Nate and his "blushing bride of ten years" as our pastor would put it, at the "cruise elegant" night of dinner. We really had a great time on our cruise: eating, hiking, reading, eating, watching shows, touring, and eating some more!
The view inside the boat
Posing in Freeport on the beach: I think my fondest moment of the cruise was that hike on the Freeport beach. The water was beautiful and we were hiking in an un-crowded place--this is really the epitome of vacation for me!

View of the outside of the ship--this is where we spent a good bit of our time on Sunday--see my book and glasses? We were barely able to shed our "lazy" for a walk around the boat to take pictures!
One morning we woke in time to take sunrise pictures.
