Kids at Granna's

As most of you know, my mom took the kids (yes, all 3 of them!) for a few days last week. I cleaned closets and rearranged the kids rooms and had tea with friends and went to a movie with another friend and out to eat with Nate. Needless to say it was a really good time for me.
Here's a sampling of what the kids got to do:
Dear Momma,
On Monday, we hunted Easter eggs on Granna's trails in the woods.  We painted the frame for a new picnic table. We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant.  Then we had ice cream.  We watched the Chipmunks movie.
On Tuesday, we went to the Birmingham Zoo.  We saw giraffes, zebras, monkeys, alligators, kangaroos, fish, birds, turtles, snakes, lizards, and played on the playground.  The gorilla, the tiger and the lion were all sleeping.  We had slushies, then Jacob and Naomi rode a camel. We came home and played outside.
On Wednesday, we went to Cheaha.  We played on the playground and had a picnic.  We climbed the tower and then walked out to Bald Rock.  We met Grandad and Grandaddy, and Jacob went back with them.  Naomi, Bethany and Granna came home and took a nap.  Tonight, Naomi and Grandad ate pizza and went to a bookstore for a date.
We had a great time at Granna's house!
Love, Naomi, Jacob, and Bethany

Enjoyed your post today! Our two granddaughters from Maine will be spending their first time with us solo! Their parents live in Maine and we live in WV...oh, and did I mention they are ages 6 and 4? Reading your post gave me some great ideas to keep them from being homesick. Thanks for sharing!
