A Little Update

Here's a tiny bit of what we've been up to lately:
BASEBALL
(when it's not raining)

Getting ready for a summer garden

Baking cookies
Riding Horses

Drawing pictures (this is one by Bethany where Naomi and Bethany are happy, but Jacob is sad because he has to pick up all that mess in the background.)

Stealing momma's camera to take pics of friends

Going to a Luau birthday

Complete with hula dancers (the birthday girls' dad!)

Having impromptu tea parties

Going to the symphony
(This was a date for Nate and me--we went to Bocaccia for dinner and then to Fork and Pie for dessert, walked around town and headed to the Tivoli for Mahler.)

More drawing--this is a map Jacob created.

Speech Class
Both Jacob and Naomi gave speeches in front of their fellow speech class students and their parents.

The Spring for Life!
This was much smaller than it could've been had it not been pouring cats and dogs!

Horse Show!

Naomi competed in her first horse show today. We were so proud of her!
She competed in three events: showmanship and two ride-at-a-walk events.
She placed second and fourth in the two ride-at-a-walk events!
Yay, Naomi!

Cousins in the Park

Believe it or not, these are the practice dresses for some dresses that mom is going to make for the girls in shantung silk.
They made for beautiful pictures in the park.
Thanks, Mom!

Sundry

Happy Birthday, Ellie!
It was a wonderful fantasy fairy-full party!

Momma goes on tv--Channel 3's "Three plus You" featured a spot about Choices and their Spring for Life--I spoke a few words about it.

And momma goes on a women's retreat at Amicalola Falls.
It was a wonderful time of quiet and learning and fellowshipping.
(Thanks, Nate, aka SuperDad for keeping the kiddos all weekend.)

I admit, I snuck out of the meeting on Saturday night to take a few pics of the sunset.
It was absolutely stunning. I could have taken a million more pics, but I didn't want to miss any more of the meeting. : )
