Today's Tea Party
Today we had a few friends over for a play date. The girls all dressed up for a tea party with Jacob acting as the waiter. And yes, there was another boy there--lest you pity Jacob for being surrounded by the girls.
Bjorn was too busy playing with cars to care much about tea. Kate and Janey Tolson are in the pink and green dresses respectively, Naomi is wearing the blue, and Ari Payne is dressed as Snow White. Aren't they lovely!
Naomi's Creative Photography
Naomi stole the camera the other day and took it around taking pictures of just about everything--including the neighbor's cars, the bushes, a stick beside a bowl and a lot of other subjects. She is really quite good with the camera (though she did get in trouble for not asking first!) These are a few of her creative photos.

Naomi and Jacob Play Catch
Naomi and Jacob love playing catch with Daddy. We find it very funny that with no training at all, Jacob throws "like a boy" and Naomi throws "like a girl". We made the mistake of telling Naomi she throws "like a girl." Now she won't throw any differently no matter how much Daddy tries to train her because, as she said, "I am a girl!"

The Bouncing Ball
One day a ball rolled down our driveway and down the hill and down another hill. Daddy had Bethany, I had myself, and Momma wasn't holding anything. Momma went after the ball. It rolled into some briers (bwiers). Momma easily (easwy) broke (bwoke) the briers (bwiers). And then she carefully got the ball.

Play Date
Camp Come On In
Naomi enjoyed "Camp Come On In" Monday and Tuesday of this week. Hallie Blair Quatro, a neighbor up the street, and a friend of hers put this camp on for a few girls. They painted faces, got camp t-shirts, played on a slip and slide and generally had a wonderful time. At first Naomi was a little disappointed when she learned that she wouldn't actually be camping over night in a tent, but she was easily appeased with all the entertainment that was offered. She wept when I told her that it only lasted two days! Thanks to Hallie Blair and Rebecca for such a great time!
